PREDICTION
It was almost the perfect performance from Liverpool last weekend as they brushed aside Roma at Anfield. Almost, because as good as they were when racing into a 5-0 lead, they have left the door slightly ajar thanks to two late away goals from the Italian outfit.

That 5-2 scoreline gives Roma just a small glimmer of hope of overturning their first leg deficit and moving on to the final in Kyiv later this month, although after events in the previous round there is arguably reason for Eusebio Di Francesco’s men to be confident.

That was because they were faced with the exact same scenario as in this fixture when playing host to Barcelona, one that required them to win 3-0 at home. The club from the Italian capital did so in dramatic fashion and will now be hoping that lightning can strike twice.

To keep a clean sheet against this Liverpool side may well be asking too much though, especially with the scintillating form that former Roma forward Mohamed Salah is in right now. He may have drawn a blank against Stoke on the weekend, but you get the feeling he will be fired up for a return to his previous home.

Liverpool have been on another level in Europe this season and although Roma will not make things easy for them, they should have enough in the tank. That three-goal buffer will be enough to see them book a date in Ukraine on May 26th where they will look to lift a sixth European Cup.
