Newcastle Jets are flying high near the top of the A-League at present as they currently find themselves second. They do however have a six-point gap to make up on league leaders Sydney FC and with the visit of bottom side Wellington Phoenix this weekend, they will be highly confident of earning another all important three points.

MEMORABLE MEETING
The last time these two sides met at the McDonald Jones Stadium was back in November 2017 as the Jets recorded a second successive win over the Phoenix. A Roy O’Donovan brace led the home side well on to the path of victory while Andrew Nabbout made sure of all three points with a second half strike to wrap up a comfortable 3-0 win for Ernie Merrick’s men.
