PREDICTION
The Jets came close to beating leaders Sydney last time out but conceded a late equaliser and they will take heart from that. They come into this derby in much the better form and will be confident of the points especially after winning the reverse fixture 5-1 so take the hosts on the Double Result.
MEMORABLE MEETING
You must go back to October 2012 for the last time that the Newcastle Jets got the better of the Central Coast Mariners on home soil. The Jets would fly into a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Ryan Griffiths and former England international Emile Heskey and although Central Coast would manage to halve the deficit with a second half strike it was the home team that would earn all three points.
