NETHERLANDS
- Netherlands kicked off their 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup campaign with three points as a last-gasp victory broke the hearts of New Zealand who had put up a stern fight throughout the contest.
- Having dominated possession with 70%, the Dutch created numerous chances to score but failed to break the deadlock until the second minute of stoppage time when substitute Jill Roord headed in.
- Roord will be pushing for a start here after her match-winner although Sarina Wiegman may opt for the same starting 11 after her side put in a good performance despite failing to find the back of the net until so late on.
CAMEROON
- Cameroon went down to a 1-0 defeat against Canada in their World Cup opener as they failed to really threaten against the Canadians despite working hard throughout the game.
- The Cameroonians struggled to get hold of the ball as they posted just 26% of possession and that is likely going to the case again with the Netherlands basing a lot of their play around seeing the majority of the ball.
- After exerting a lot of energy in the game against Canada and with them needing to work even harder against the Dutch, head coach Alain Djeumfa may opt to rotate his side to get some fresh legs into the team.

THE PREDICTION
Netherlands left it late to claim a win over New Zealand in their opening contest but they ultimately got the job done. They will see plenty of the ball against Cameroon and will be tasked with breaking them down as they look to sit deep to try and frustrate the Dutch. The Cameroonians worked very hard against Canada but lacked the quality and that will make it difficult for them against the Netherlands who should run out comfortable winners.
