- Canada will head into the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup with a very inexperienced squad but that could be a positive for them as their young side possesses plenty of exciting talent that could go far.
- Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies is their standout name with his pace and ability on the ball likely to cause plenty of issues for defensives in this competition whilst Junior Hoilett and Samuel Piette will add a bit of experience to the midfield.

Canada and Martinique were two of just three teams to win all four of their CONCACAF Nations League qualifiers and head into the Gold Cup in good form as a result. The Canadians possess a couple of stars in their squad and if they perform well, they could go far in the tournament. Alphonso Davies could be one of the stars and he will have plenty of eyes on him in this opening game with his side able to earn a win in their opening game of Group A.
