THE TEAM NEWS
DENMARK
- Denmark know that a point will be enough to go through to the knockout phase, but they will not expect any favours from this French team so they have to approach this in the correct manner.
- They have to make one enforced change as Poulsen is suspended so Braithwaite or potentially Cornelius is expected to come in on the right side of the attacking trio and this is a slight weakness.
- Kvist remains out in all likelihood so Schone continues in midfield and no other changes are expected to the team that drew with Australia last time out.
Predicted line-up (4-2-3-1):
Schmeichel
Dalsgaard, Christensen, Kjaer, Larsen
Schone, Delaney
Braithwaite, Eriksen, Sisto
N. Jorgensen
Unavailable: Poulsen
Doubtful: Kvist
FRANCE
- France have already qualified for the knockout rounds but they know they still have plenty of room for improvements in performance levels so they will take this match relatively seriously even if they do rotate.
- Deschamps will make some rotations and that could see the likes of Fekir, Dembele, N'Zonzi, Sidibe and Mendy all come into the team as they demonstrate the sheer quality and depth of their squad options.
- Pogba, Matuidi and Tolisso are all a booking away from suspension so Pogba especially may be one player to be left on the bench here.
Predicted line-up (4-3-3):
Lloris
Sidibe, Varane, Umtiti, Mendy
Kante, N'Zonzi, Matuidi
Fekir, Giroud, Dembele
Unavailable: None
Doubtful: None
THE PREDICTION
France have an exceptional record against Denmark although they have little to play for here unlike the Danes. They are likely to rotate but with so much competition for places, they will still name a strong starting 11. This will be a competitive game and expect both teams to score with a marginal preference going to France with some value offered there.
