Andorra are a team that appear to be fading and regressing in recent times as they now prepare to take on a strong and stubborn Albania side in Andorra la Vella this week.

Kick-off date/time:

How to watch on TV: UK – Not televised / US – FOX Sports

How to watch online: UK – Cannot be streamed / US – Disney+

Key stats

  • Andorra are without a win in their last nine World Cup qualifying matches (D1 L8).
  • If Andorra manage to score, it will mark the first time in their history that they have found the net in three consecutive World Cup qualifying matches.
  • Albania have won six of the previous eight international matches between these teams (D1 L1). Andorra’s only victory was a 2-0 home win in a friendly in April 2002.
  • Albania are unbeaten in their last five World Cup qualifying matches (W3 D2).
  • Albania have kept four clean sheets in their last five World Cup qualifying matches.

Andorra vs Albania prediction

Andorra were and are already a weaker side for European international football but there is actually a sense that they are even regressing. The Andorrans come into this one on the back of a 3-1 defeat at home to Serbia after back-to-back draws against Baltic nations Estonia and Latvia.

They now face an Albania side that, under the management of Sylvinho, are in pole position to claim second spot in Group K, behind already qualified England. That is as a result of a hard-fought victory over neighbours Serbia last month. They backed that up with a 4-2 win over Jordan.

Albania will want to ensure they avoid any sort of stupid slip that opens the door for the Serbians but it is unlikely to be an entertaining encounter for the neutral.

Andorra vs Albania tip: Albania to win & under 3.5 goals
