Alexei Popyrin vs Alejandro Tabilo prediction

Alexei Popyrin dropped the first set against former world number three Grigor Dimitrov in the first round but improved his level to win the next three and outlast the ageing Bulgarian.

In the process, Popyrin has made it to the second round of a Grand Slam for the first time this year, after first-round eliminations in Melbourne, London and Paris.

Alejandro Tabilo also required four sets to see off Yannick Hanfmann in the first round, as the 25th seed got past the first hurdle in New York for only the second time in his career.

Tabilo has been playing some decent tennis in in the north American swing, notably reaching the semi-finals in Washington at the beginning of the month, and we're backing him to squeeze through what should be a competitive contest.
