Alexander Bublik vs Tommy Paul prediction

Tommy Paul will be aiming for some revenge when he takes on Alexander Bublik 12 months on from an epic five-set defeat at his home Major.

The American 20th seed suffered his first loss in four meetings with the maverick Kazakhstani when he went down 6-7 7-6 3-6 7-6 1-6 at the same stage of this tournament.

Both players have been pretty solid so far with Paul perhaps a touch more battle-hardened given he had a solid run-up to this US Open, while Sascha is featuring for the first time since losing in the final on the clay of Kitzbuhel.

Bublik is the higher ranked player and the 15th seed but isn’t playing as well as he was at the back end of last season and Paul will have the support and the motivation to avenge what happened back in 2025.

One thing is for sure, it won’t be dull and you can expect plenty of games, fluctuating momentum and it’d certainly be a surprise if this doesn’t go beyond three sets.
