With both first and second choice goalkeepers sidelined alongside several key defenders, the hosts come into this one on the back of a 4-1 defeat to Sydney in New South Wales last weekend. They now face a Melbourne City side that come into this having recently suffered a 1-0 loss to Macarthur a couple of weeks ago due to a second-half strike scored by former Olympique de Marseille striker Valere Germain. They have now suffered back-to-back defeats since a seven-match unbeaten run of form. The visitors will hope to take advantage of an open Adelaide side and both teams scoring would therefore appear a good bet for this one.
