In the round-robin of the 2026 MSG Prime Minister’s Cup, Vanuatu won two and drew one of their four matches in this international break. They most recently hammered New Caledonia by four goals to one last week.
Fiji came from behind to defeat the regressing New Caledonians by two goals to one the other day to mean that Fiji they crept themselves into the top two of the five-team table ahead of the unbeaten and entertaining Solomon Islands.
Fiji have home advantage for this one so will be confident but Vanuatu have improved in the last couple of years and so both teams scoring may well be a decent bet for this final.
