Frances Tiafoe will hope to shift up a gear when he meet Valentin Vacherot for the first time.

The American was pushed five sets by Martin Damm prior to taking down Rei Sakamoto in straight sets, but the 11th seed will know he will need another level against the Monegasque 22nd seed.

Vacherot has looked strong in wins over Aleksandar Kovacevic and Kamil Majchrzak and will relish the chance to play party pooper.
