World number two Iga Swiatek beat Sara Sorribes Tormo in straight sets on Monday to get her China Open campaign underway solidly. World number 47 Varvara Gracheva snapped a four-match losing streak with a three-set victory over Anastasia Potapova on Saturday but she looks set to struggle after drawing this shortest of straws. The 23-year-old has top 30 potential for sure but this first meeting with Swiatek should fall in straight sets for the Pole.
