23-year-old Thiago Seyboth Wild brings a career-high ATP world ranking of 65th into Indian Wells after a decent run to the quarter-finals of the Rio Open last month, where he lost to defending champion Cam Norrie in three sets. The Brazilian is at his best on clay but there has always been the potential for more in his exciting game and he looks a real threat here after conceding just five games in qualifying. 25-year-old J.J. Wolf set a career-high of 39th last season but after a brilliant start to 2023, where he reached the round of 16 at the Australian Open, his form petered out concerningly to see him currently ranked just inside the top 100.
