SEBASTIAN BAEZ VS CASPER RUUD PREDICTION
World number seven Casper Ruud came back from a shock set down to eventually beat Sebastian Ofner well enough on Wednesday. The 25-year-old is a two-time former champion here in Geneva, winning the title in back-to-back seasons in 2021 and 2022, but eh claimed the most prestigious of his now 11 career titles last month, beating Stefanos Tsitsipas to the Barcelona Open title to avenge defeat in the Monte-Carlo final the week before.
World number 20 Sebastian Baez won his first ATP 500 title in Rio back in February, claiming back-to-back titles a week later with victory in Santiago, and he looks to have shaken off a recent blip since after conceding just three games to Roberto Carballes Baena on Wednesday.
The Argentine lost both of his previous meetings to Ruud last season, at this stage of the Estoril Open and early at the Hamburg 500, but a three-set result in the latter suggests there is scope for an upset here. Ruud is the better clay-courter at their respective best but both players excel in these conditions. Back Ruud to win outright.
