24-year-old Yu Hsiou Hsu will set a new career-high ATP world ranking of 160th after upsetting world number 18 Lorenzo Musetti in straight sets on Friday. Hsu, from Chinese Taipei, will receive a partisan atmosphere here in the biggest match of his life but world number 17 Hubert Hurkacz should pose a much more potent threat on a hardcourt than out-of-sorts clay-courter Musetti. 26-year-old Hurkacz best Thanasi Kokkinakis in straight sets on Friday to grab a rare assured victory on tour, with so many of his results seeing deciding sets fall either way throughout an erratic 2023 season.
