World number seven Jannik Sinner conceded just two games to Yoshihito Nishioka on Sunday, backing-up a more hard-fought three-set opener over in-form Dan Evans. The 22-year-old won his maiden Masters title at the Canada Masters in August but he has struggled to push on from that since, with a five-set defeat to Alexander Zverev in the round of 16 at the US Open no great embarrassment but also not entirely encouraging. World number 19 Grigor Dimitrov stunned a still out of sorts Holger Rune in straight sets on Sunday to improve on his opening comeback over Mackenzie McDonald but the Bulgarian looks the underdog here. Sinner beat Dimitrov in straight sets at the Miami Masters back in March to level their head-to-head 1-1 and whilst Dimitrov has improved a lot since then it is hard to see Sinner’s game struggling too much with his opponent’s game. Take Sinner to win outright.
