EVA LYS VS CAROLINE GARCIA PREDICTION
Former world number four Caroline Garcia reached the quarter-finals here back in 2017 but she is capable of even more at her elusive best. The 30-year-old won the doubles title here in 2022, for the second time in her career, during a purple patch that culminated in winning her most prestigious title yet at the year-end WTA Finals.
Garcia looked in decent shape en-route to the semi-finals of the Rouen Open last month, on French clay, and her last three exits on the surface suggest she will need a player ranked inside the top 30 at least to oust her.
World number 145 Eva Lys qualified well this week to make her main draw debut at Roland-Garros but recent results on clay suggest she is set for a short stay. Back Garcia to win in comfortable straight sets.
