World number 15 Danielle Collins has enjoyed some of the best tennis of her life in recent months, playing with the freedom and desire of a player who is calling time on her career, on her terms, at the end of the season. It remains to be seen how the American bounces back, having already exceeded expectations for the season, but world number 46 Anna Blinkova should not be underestimated here after blasting past Diane Parry on Wednesday. The 25-year-old has fluctuated wildly between huge upsets over the likes of Elena Rybakina with poor early exits to make this first tour-level encounter with Collins tougher than it should be, so back Collins to get back on the horse outright.
