This should be a well-contested but good-natured battle between two Brits on Saturday and a first at tour level between world number 29 Dan Evans and number 56 Jack Draper. 21-year-old Draper should be the better-equipped for a win here with a blistering start to his Indian Wells debut on Thursday seeing just two games conceded to Leandro Riedi. 32-year-old Evans comes in a little cold after having to retire from his most recent match against Borna Coric at the Dubai Tennis Championships last week and that technically makes it three defeats on the spin. Both players enjoyed recent deep runs at Masters level in Montreal last August, with eventual champion Pablo Carreno Busta ousting Draper in the quarter-finals and Evans in the semis but Draper has started this season in better shape. Evans tends to struggle against big-servers and left-handers, two categories that Draper fits down to a tee. Back the younger Brit to win outright here with three sets likelier than two.
