The world number 26 won both his matches at the Davis Cup Finals last month as Croatia’s number two and he will be eager to maintain that strong international form here as their number one male player at the United Cup. World number 30 Francisco Cerundolo looked a fair way off the pace in a straight-sets loss to Arthur Rinderknech on Thursday and Argentina’s side look a little light after Diego Schwartzman’s late withdrawal. Coric beat Cerundolo in straight sets at the Davis Cup Group Stage last summer in their only previous encounter and he can be backed to do so again here on the international stage.
