THE PREDICTION

World number four Jannik Sinner and number five Andrey Rublev first met here at the Vienna Open three years ago where they played just three games before Sinner was forced to retire injured. The Italian has won three of their five encounters since then, including at the Miami Open earlier this year, and it is notable that both of Rublev’s victories have come via defaults by Sinner after he was also forced to retire at Roland-Garros last summer. 22-year-old Sinner is enjoying some of the better form of his young career late on this season after picking up a first Masters title in Toronto and more recently beating Daniil Medvedev and Carlos Alcaraz to the Beijing Open. Rublev will be ecstatic to have beaten Alexander Zverev for a third consecutive time, slowly repairing a once one-sided head-to-head, with a three-set result yesterday but Sinner should pose an even tougher challenge. Back the Italian to earn at least a set inside an accumulator or risk the outright call on its own.

BETTING TIP: Jannik Sinner to win a set.
