World number eight Stephen Bunting endured a couple of frustrating losses on the Pro Tour in Wigan earlier this week against Joe Hunt and Rob Owen. He edged past a very poor Luke Littler in the quarter-finals before losing to Michael van Gerwen in Brighton last week, with The Bullet keeping himself in contention for the top four.

Josh Rock has followed in Bunting’s footsteps from last year by entering into the Premier League and badly struggling. The 2025 PDC World Cup of Darts winner, who has hit the only nine-darter in this year’s Prem, didn’t win until night eight but he has now made it to three successive semi-finals.

Very slowly, Rock does appear to be finding his feet on the Premier League stage but he may need to adjust to the venue, with Rotterdam known for being draughty – and Bunting’s experience may help him out.
