South Africa vs Northern Ireland prediction
Whilst South Africa have had the benefit of a kind schedule when considering that they are yet to face either Australia or England, the Proteas deserve credit for taking full advantage and winning two from two so far. They’ve racked up 161 points across those two victories, including a record-breaking 96 points against Tonga, the most they’ve ever scored in Commonwealth Games history.
Northern Ireland though, suffered a hugely disappointing defeat to Tonga last time out, meaning its now three losses from three for them. That game was their best chance of getting any points across this group stage and now it would be a big shock to see them not lose their remaining two, starting with this one against the impressive South Africans.
