Malawi vs Scotland prediction
Scotland ended the group stage having won two and lost three overall. But had a couple of close games gone their way, things could’ve been very different. The Scots were beaten 45-43 by Jamaica and lost 56-65 to Uganda. Wins in both of those would’ve been seen them through to the semi-finals.
Malawi were very competitive in the games they were expected to be, beating both Tonga and Northern Ireland. However, the difficult matches against Australia, England and South Africa all ended in losses, leading to their fourth-place finish in Group A. Scotland is probably closer to the likes of Tonga and Northern Ireland, albeit better. But when you consider how the Scots have battled in every game and stayed in the vast majority of their contests, backing them may well prove the smart play.
