THE PREDICTION

Back-to-back defeats on the road at Bristol in the Premiership and at Clermont last Sunday in the Champions Cup is poor way to start 2022 for a Sale Sharks side still struggling to find their best selves this season. They can scrape through into the last 16 with this winnable fixture over Ospreys here but there is plenty of work to be done in the Premiership. Travelling Ospreys are riding a five-match losing streak across the United Rugby Championship and Champions Cup. Barring a season-best performance here they will crash out of Europe and back to a URC they had started well in. Take the hosts to cover -20 here, or -15 for a more cautious pick.
