THE PREDICTION
England have been in abysmal form in the build up to the World Cup and they somehow have to lift themselves and grab some remnants of positivity to take into France 2023. There are all kinds of issues on and off the pitch that are besetting the squad with problems and it is hard to find any real reason for optimism for them. The only real thing going in their favour is the fact that nobody expects them to do well at the World Cup now so the pressure is off. They come into this clash with Fiji aiming to pick up some positive vibes and a good performance. That will not be easy against the Islanders as barring a loss to France last time out, Fiji have beaten Japan, Samoa and Tonga in previous weeks. They will push England hard here and even though the 12-point handicap would usually be more, there are more reasons to side with Fiji than England on the handicap.
