Lucrezia Stefanini will hope to build upon a fine run at the US Open in Sao Paulo.

The Italian takes on Nadia Podoroska for a second time after losing rather easily to the Argentine in a clay Challenger back in2024.

Nadia’s ranking suggests this would be straight-forward for Stefanini, but the South American showed at Flushing Meadows against Iga Swiatek she has a solid level, but injuries have cost her a place higher on the WTA ladder in the past year or so.

Stefanini will hope to make a better impression in this second chapter in their rivalry but we still fancy the Argentine to deliver so close to home.
