THE TEAM NEWS

SALFORD RED DEVILS

  • Salford Red Devils were at their free-flowing best as they ran rampant against Hull FC last week, running in 60 points in what was a scintillating display.
  • It was a welcome return to winning ways for Paul Rowley’s side and they will look to build on that back on home soil and have been able to name a 21-man squad this week with Danny Addy back in the squad following a long stint on the sidelines.

21-man squad: Brierley, Sio, Watkins, Lafai, Croft, Sneyd, Ormondroyd, Ackers, Vuniyayawa, Stone, Atkin, Addy, Dupree, Wright, Sidlow, Longstaff, Bourouh, Williams, Costello, Hellewell, Cross

Unavailable: Alex Gerrard (Injured), Oliver Partington (Injured), Joe Burgess (Injured)

Questionable: Danny Addy

WAKEFIELD TRINITY

  • Wakefield Trinity were poor once again as they capitulated to allow Leeds Rhinos to run out comfortable winners in the second half of last week’s contest.
  • The scores were locked at 0-0 at the break but ended up losing 26-0 as they were nilled for the third game in succession and to make matters worse, Lee Gaskell has now joined an ever-increasing injury list.

21-man squad: Taufua, Hall, Lyne, Lino, Battye, Hood, Whitbread, Ashurst, Pitts, Crowther, Kay, Atoni, Kershaw, Smith, Butler, Bowes, Eseh, Windrow, Butterworth, Pratt, Hewitt

Unavailable: Josh Bowden (Injured), Kelepi Tanginoa (Injured), Max Jowitt (Injured), Lewis Murphy (Injured), Lee Gaskell (Injured)

Questionable:

THE PREDICTION

Salford Red Devils were superb last week and will be on a real high as they take on winless Wakefield Trinity. The away side have made a woeful start to the campaign and have failed to even score a point in any of their last three. That offensive record is nowhere near good enough and now taking on a side that were able to score at will last week, the Red Devils will be confident of putting on a show here and can cover the -18 handicap.
