THE PREDICTION

Huddersfield Giants and Salford Red Devils go head-to-head in what could be an excellent play-off contest. The Giants edged Wakefield Trinity last week to make it three wins from their last four while the Red Devils fell to Warrington Wolves with that result bringing their four-game winning streak to an end. However, they opted to rest numerous key men for that game with one eye on this contest so they will not be deterred, especially as they were able to win seven of their eight prior matches. This encounter could go either way but Salford have produced some brilliance with ball in hand this year and having proven too good for the Giants in their last matchup in August, they are favoured to get the job done here and prolong their season for at least another week.
