  • Castleford Tigers dug deep to overcame Leeds Rhinos and earn their first win of the season in what will have been a massive relief to everyone at the club.
  • The victory will have done interim head coach Andy Last no harm in his efforts to land the job permanently but this will be a big test of his credentials, especially as the injury list is mounting.

21-man squad: Eden, Turner, Faraimo, Widdop, Miller, McShane, Griffin, Edwards, Mellor, Westerman, Massey, Sutcliffe, Milner, Broadbent, Vete, Mustapha, Smith, Matagi, Hookem, Qareqare, Watts

WARRINGTON WOLVES

  • Warrington Wolves maintained their perfect start to the season with a fifth straight success as they got the better of Leigh Leopards in what was a straightforward victory.
  • Daryl Powell’s side have shown few signs of abating and he will be confident of another win against his former club but will be forced into at least one change with Josh Thewlis out with a head knock.

21-man squad: Ashton, Clark, Currie, Drinkwater, Dudson, Dufty, Hayes, Kasiano, Mata’utia, Mikaele, Minikin, Nicholson, Philbin, Ratchford, Reffecliff, Russell, Thomas, Vaughan, Walker, Whitehead, Williams

Unavailable: Connor Wrench (Injured), Josh McGuire (Suspended), Joe Bullock (Injured), Josh Thewlis (Injured)

THE PREDICTION

Castleford Tigers finally got off the mark for the season as they got the better of Leeds Rhinos in a scrappy affair last week. They showed plenty of heart in that game but it will not be enough to overcome the unbeaten Warrington Wolves. The visitors have made a great start to the campaign having won all five of their matches and while the Tigers are expected to be game, the class of the Wolves should tell and they can ultimately win by 13+ points.
