- Wigan Warriors bounced back from their narrow loss against Warrington Wolves at Magic Weekend by nilling Hull FC last week, achieving that feat for the second time in their last three matches.
- Despite that success, it was still another low-quality performance from the Warriors who only managed to score ten points of their own and they will need to improve here if they are to live with a side that hammered them 48-0 earlier in the season.

- Catalans Dragons’ homecoming was ruined by Huddersfield Giants last week as the newly crowned league leaders blew a big lead and succumbed to just their third loss of the Super League season.
- The Dragons had raced into an 18-0 lead but their weakened side then allowed 30 unanswered points but with their key men back in the squad here, head coach Steve McNamara will be expecting a response from his side ahead of the play-offs.

Wigan Warriors secured fourth spot in Super League thanks to seeing
off Hull FC last week and they did so without conceding a point in that
clash. The 0-10 win handed the Warriors a morale-boosting success but
they need to be better with the ball if they are to compete in the
play-offs. They are just around the corner now but they end their
regular season campaign with a clash against top of the table Catalans
Dragons. The French side rested a host of stars last week to keep them
fresh ahead of the play-offs and despite losing to Huddersfield Giants
in that game, they can respond here with a victory to make it
back-to-back wins over the Warriors this season.
