ST. HELENS
- St. Helens were far from their best once again but they did what was required to advance to the last four of the Challenge Cup to extend their winning streak to begin this season and they will be content knowing there is more to come.
- Saints controlled the game against Huddersfield Giants but were unable to put their opponents away until deep into the contest and they will be looking for an improved display back in Super League action where Morgan Knowles could make his first appearance of the year.

- Salford Red Devils suffered Challenge Cup heartbreak after forcing Golden Point with the last play of normal time against Castleford Tigers but they were unable to capitalise as Gareth O’Brien’s drop goal separated the two teams.
- The Red Devils will now hope to get back on track in the Super League but they have only managed one win all season which came against bottom side Leigh Centurions so this is a tall order for them.

THE PREDICTION
St. Helens have made a strong start to the season having won all seven of their matches in all competitions so far but they will be eager to put in some better performances having failed to impress once again last week. They have gone about their business and managed to overcome every challenge put in front of them so far but they will need to improve when they face tougher assignments. Salford Red Devils will hope to be the first side to get the better of them this campaign but having won just one of their five Super League games this year, it will be a big ask for them. Despite that, Salford can be backed with a +20.5 start on the handicap and they should prevail with that advantage as Saints have only managed to win their last three by no more than ten points.
