- Hull KR looked set to provide the perfect response to being nilled by St. Helens in their previous Super League outing but they somehow blew a 14-point lead in the final ten minutes of their Challenge Cup game with Castleford Tigers last week.
- Rovers allowed the Tigers to draw level with the final play of the game after the hooter had sounded before Gareth O’Brien kicked the winning point with a drop goal in the fourth additional period of extra time and that mammoth contest could have taken plenty out of Tony Smith’s side.

- Huddersfield Giants handed new head coach Ian Watson his first win in charge as they prevailed in their Challenge Cup tie with Leigh Centurions last week but he will be eager for his side to back that up on their return to Super League.
- The Giants have been without key playmaker Aidan Sezer for the early part of this campaign but the influential halfback could make his first appearance of the year with Watson suggesting that he should be fit enough to start here.

THE PREDICTION
Hull KR will be desperate to put last week’s devastating Challenge Cup loss to Castleford Tigers behind them but they will have to dig deep after that draining effort. That defeat made it three losses from three so far this season while they have been beaten in their last six stretching back to last year after going down to the Tigers in a contest that lasted almost 100 minutes. Huddersfield Giants are their latest opponents and the visitors will be confident having earned their first win of the campaign last time out. They proved too good for Leigh Centurions and with Aidan Sezer potentially back to pull the strings, the Giants can collect their maiden Super League win of the campaign with the margin set to be at least eight points.
