- Parramatta Eels came out on top of a topsy-turvy affair with Newcastle Knights last week to advance to the semi-finals but this will be a tough task as they come up against rivals Penrith Panthers.
- The Panthers have won the last three matches between the two so this will be an uphill task and while they earned the victory last week, the Eels will have to make major improvements if they are to get the better of their opponents.
THE PREDICTION
In another battle of Western Sydney, Penrith Panthers and Parramatta
Eels will do battle in this do-or-die contest to prolong their season.
The Panthers could not get the better of South Sydney Rabbitohs last
week so will now be tasked with making the Grand Final the hard way.
They failed to hit the heights of their performances earlier in the
season but they are capable of responding here against their rivals. The
Eels overcame Newcastle Knights last week but this is a much tougher
task and the lack of a recognised hooker is likely to be costly with the
Panthers able to make an immediate return to winning ways by making it
four straight successes against Parramatta with the margin set to be at
least six points.
