- Canterbury Bulldogs blew a brilliant opportunity to claim just their second win of the season as they failed to take advantage of Canberra Raiders’ ill-discipline which saw their opponents play the final quarter of the game with 12 men.
- The Bulldogs were in fact in the lead when Josh Papalii was given his marching orders but the bottom of the ladder since then inconceivably conceded two tries to succumb to yet another loss as their awful season continued.
THE PREDICTION
Gold Coast Titans have hit a rough patch of form of late but they will be confident that they can put their recent run behind them to come away with a valuable two points in this clash with bottom side Canterbury Bulldogs. The Titans have now lost four of their last five as their 12 men fell short against league leaders Penrith Panthers last week and their defensive frailties will come under the spotlight here against the lowest scorers in the NRL. The Bulldogs have managed just 110 points in their ten matches so far in 2021 and their issues with the ball go deeper than the Titans’ defensive issues so it would be surprising if the hosts failed to win this by at least ten points.
