- Canberra Raiders kept their hopes of making the finals alive with an important come-from-behind victory over top eight rivals New Zealand Warriors last week and while their fate is out of their own hands, they will be confident ahead of this final game of the regular season.

- Sydney Roosters’ injury-hit side succumbed to a heavy defeat against rivals South Sydney Rabbitohs last week and the Tricolours now look set to miss out on a spot in the top four as a result of that loss in which they conceded 54 points.
- In a controversial affair, the Roosters saw star centre ruled out for the year after a poor challenge by Latrell Mitchell to compound their woes but they can at least name the likes of Jared Waerea-Hargreaves Josh Morris for this contest.
THE PREDICTION
Canberra Raiders will look to end their season on a high and by
securing a spot in the finals but they need to win this clash with
Sydney Roosters and hope that Cronulla Sharks fall to Melbourne Storm to
finish in the top eight. The Roosters lost their top four spot last
week after a heavy loss to South Sydney Rabbitohs and while they can
regain their spot with a win here, it is likely that they will have
accepted their fate. However, that will not stop them from wanting to
win this and despite both teams going all-out for the win, it is the
Roosters that can prevail with several players back on deck after
sitting out last week.
