Kenan Song (20-7) picked up a much-needed win back in August at UFC Fight Night 225. He got knocked out by Max Griffin (2021) and took two years out only to get knocked out by Ian Garry (2023) on his return. Five months later, he met Rolando Bedoya (2023) earning a unanimous decision to extend his UFC shelf-life.
Now, he takes on Kevin Jousset (9-2) who is riding a four-fight win streak. He has fought three times already this year with a decision and TKO under the Hex Fight Series which led to his UFC debut at UFC 293 in Australia. The Kiwi made the short trip over to seal a perfect debut with a first-round submission over Kiefer Crosbie.

This is a tough match-up for Song. Jousset is big, powerful and well rounded. We expect him to test his striking to begin the fight. It is a risk not worth taking as Song possesses knockout power with little else to offer. However, Jousset will be illusive and counter.
Once he gains Song’s respect on the feet, expect him to shoot in for a takedown. Jousset has all of the tools to get the job done here and a knockout is likely considering the damage Song’s chin has absorbed in recent years.
