After a difficult 2025, on and off the oche, Michael van Gerwen remains some way off his best but much-improved this year. He is without a nightly win since the opening week in Newcastle but reaching the final in Brighton last week does mean he heads to Rotterdam sitting in the top four.

Jonny Clayton was the man to defeat MVG in that final, earning his third nightly win of the campaign. Impressive form in early season majors last year earned Clayton his Premier League spot for this year and ‘The Ferret’ does appear to have shifted his focus almost entirely to the Prem – where he is thriving thus far.

As consistent as ever, only Littler has thrown more 180s than Clayton in this season’s Premier League and backing him to hit more than Van Gerwen here seems a good shout.
