Jonny Clayton was very impressive throughout 2025 and, while a little less so elsewhere in the World Masters and the UK Open, ‘The Ferret’ has poured his focus into a brilliant Premier League campaign. The Welshman sits at the top-of-the-table, having his reached his sixth final last week before being hammered by Luke Littler.

Gian van Veen began the calendar year well but the really grating schedule at the top of professional darts may be taking its toll on the Dutchman, who reached number three in the world by reaching the final of the Worlds in January. Van Veen reached three of the first four finals but has managed just three victories since then.

Van Veen punished poor finishing from Price last week but his average remained at a fairly average 90.97 and so Clayton will be confident of marching towards finishing top.
