Italy vs Chile prediction

Despite playing against 14 men for the whole of the second half against South Africa in Turin last week, Italy were unable to make their numerical advantage count, ultimately succumbing to a 32-14 defeat to the world champions.

The Azzurre did have their chances though, and having beaten Australia two weeks ago, it has generally been an impressive month for the European nation. They will now aim to sign off 2025 in style in what is their first ever meeting with Chile.

The South American nation, a growing force in world rugby, will relish this challenge against a Tier 1 nation, having qualified for the 2027 Rugby World Cup with a 31-12 win over Samoa in September.

Italy are naturally the strong favourites for this match, but Italy head coach Gonzalo Quesada is fielding an experimental side for this Test, so there is something to be said for the visitors covering a moderate handicap.

Italy vs Chile tip: Chile +32.5
