Ireland vs South Africa prediction

Mack Hansen helped himself to a first-half hat-trick in Ireland's record win over Australia last weekend, with Andy Farrell's side recording a 46-19 triumph over the Wallabies in a rainy Aviva Stadium.

After a fairly unconvincing display against Japan a week prior, it was something of a statement performance as they prepare to welcome the number one-ranked side in world rugby.

For a second match in succession, South Africa were reduced to 14 men in the first half last weekend, but as they did against France, they managed to beat Italy regardless.

The world champions were 32-14 victors in Turin, with Rassie Erasmus' heavily-rotated side still proving too good for the European nation despite their numerical disadvantage.

Several first-teamers have returned for this Test, and although hosts Ireland are a dangerous side, the Springboks are expected to assert their authority.
