Former Leicester City and Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez remains the star man for Algeria, as captain of The Desert Warriors. A now two-time AFC Champions League winner, Mahrez, who broke onto the international scene in the build-up to FIFA World Cup 2014 and now has over 100 caps for his country, still has some magic in his boots. The 35-year-old is leading an Algerian side into a group that they will believe they can be competitive in alongside Argentina, Austria and Jordan – but they will be reliant on the quality and ability that Mahrez still has in the final third.
