St. Mirren are second-from-bottom of the Scottish Premiership table right now but with three games in-hand over most other teams they are something of an unknown entity likely keeping the teams around them nervous. Including matches from the League Cup they are actually on a six-match unbeaten run and notably have not conceded in the league since the second of October, though they have played just two Premiership matches in that time. The hosts reached the quarter-finals of the league cup by beating this weekend’s league opponents Aberdeen 2-1 at home and an immediate rematch makes for an intriguing match. Third-placed Aberdeen could be expected to turn the tables here but they have not won a match away from home in the league since late September.
