It is hard not to see some writing on the wall here as Celtic host a St. Johnstone side unbeaten in five Premiership matches as even a draw may not save the under fire Neil Lennon’s job in the race for points. Despite two games in-hand, the Bhoys are likely to be 14 points behind Rangers when they play after Steven Gerrard’s side on Sunday and the return of fans to Celtic Park may well be a hindrance if the sour feelings around the management of the club spill over from last weekend’s scenes at Ross County. Celtic will be leggy and tired from a trip to face AC Milan in the Europa League and St. Johnstone could score against the Glasgow side for the first time in 11 matches over all competitions stretching back to 2017. In days past this fixture would be a win to nil for the home side but both teams to score in a much-needed win for Celtic looks likelier than a rare clean sheet at present.
