Both these teams meet having conceded three goals in defeats to Porto in their last Primeira Liga matches but Vitoria Guimaraes came so close to getting something against the Portuguese giants and took the lead twice in their eventual 2-3 defeat. Both teams also had their three-match unbeaten streaks broken by Porto, albeit of differing quality. Moreirense host Vitoria having won just one of their last five in the league, failing to score in three of those, whilst Vitoria Guimaraes have been exceptional against anybody except the top two in recent times.
