NICE
Nice are ending the campaign on a decent run of form and they will want to finish off well as they host Lyon. They were 2-3 victors against Montpellier in their latest contest as they made it just one defeat in their last five matches.
Despite going two goals down inside the opening 20 minutes, a stirring half-time team talk seemingly did the trick as Ross Barkley brought them back into the game before Gaetan Laborde’s double turned the game on its head.
Nice now return to home soil to finish their season and they will be confident of claiming a positive result having lost just two of their last 15 home matches in Ligue 1.
LYON
Lyon are still in with an outside chance of making Europe next season but only three points will give them any hope. Their late charge up the table could well come too late but they are still in the mix after making it four wins from their last five.
A 3-0 success over Reims continued their impressive run in front of goal with efforts from Alexandre Lacazette and Maxence Caqueret coming on the back of an early own goal from Emmanuel Agbadou.
Lyon’s resurgence has been largely off the back of a solid run of form for a long period on the road with them losing just two of their last 11 away matches in Ligue 1.
THE PREDICTION
This game could go either way as Nice and Lyon both look to end the season on a high. Both have performed well of late and there is little to split the pair based on their recent efforts. Nice are strong at home but Lyon have proven tough to beat on the road so it is really difficult to pick a winner here. However, both have shown their quality in front of goal of late so expect them each to find the back of the net in this one.
