Mansfield have already knocked out one big club from the North East of England in Sunderland back in the first round, now they look to cause a surprise against second tier outfit Middlesbrough. The visitors could be forgiven for having their eyes firmly set on a Championship promotion push in the second half of the season as they sit just outside of the play-off places, their season having been turned around since the arrival of manager Chris Wilder. Mansfield, like Middlesbrough come into this on the back of some excellent form, winning their last five in all competitions and in Nigel Clough have a manager who knows how to conjure a Cup upset, boasting both FA Cup and League semi-final appearances on his CV as manager of Sheffield Utd and Burton respectively. With home advantage also in their favour, Mansfield and Clough are more than capable of pulling off an upset and the smart play is to back the Stags to either win or draw against Middlesbrough via the double chance market.
