THE PREDICTION

After a Covid-19 outbreak at Derby County which saw the Rams forced to field a youth team for their side’s FA Cup third round tie away at Chorley last weekend, Wayne Rooney’s men have returned to training ahead of their home clash with Rotherham this coming weekend. Such a long break from action and the lack of preparation time ahead of this game is likely to have affected the hosts and Rotherham could sense a real opportunity to pick up a very rare points return away from home. Whilst Paul Warne’s side will rightly come into this match is underdogs having lost their last seven away games in the Championship, they forced Premier League outfit Everton into extra time in last weekend’s FA Cup third round clash and when taking into account Derby’s lack of match fitness, plus their recent highly publicised financial issues off the pitch, Rotherham double chance may prove the shrewd option here.
