Mechelen’s four-match run without a win is actually pretty credible considering they lost two close 2-3 matches with Beerschot and in-form Waasland-Beveren and held both AS Eupen and Standard Liege to draws in that span. They are still within one point of the relegation places, though, and no matter how well thy have played recently this is unlikely to be an enjoyable match for them. Belgian giants Club Brugge have gotten over a small bump in form that saw them draw 2-2 at home to Mechelen in the reverse fixture back in October and have won four of their last five league matches since. Although Club Brugge have not conceded a league goal in four matches, Mechelen can break that little spell here as they have not failed to score in a league game since mid-September.
